The Solitar Folding Arm Awning has been a mainstay in the Australian shade industry for over a decade. Used in many prominent projects across all major city centres the Solitar has proven itself against the harsh Austrlian climate. In all respects, the Solitar is a proven, compact, reliable and perfectly finished awning. The Solitar has been intelligently designed and engineered utilising the latest German manufacturing techniques. Covered group enhance these good looks with high pressure weld-joins across our premium solution-dyed acrylic fabric. The result is an awning skin that is long-lasting, flat, taught and virtually unrivalled in its appearance.
The Solitar Folding Arm Awning has so many uses that a large array of options are expected. Standard brackets allow you to mount your Solitar on a brick wall, concrete wall or ceiling. Using the Covered bracket mounting options opens up the possibility of installing a Solitar on a tile or Colourbond® Orb Roof and even through a facia board or eave sheet!
The fully enclosed cassette system can be powder coated using any Duralloy®, Duratec® or other premium finishes from within the Dulux Powder Coat Colour Range (surcharges and range limitations apply). The result of this is a folding arm awning that disappears when retracted and never looks out of place when extended. The brackets and beams used in the bracketing system are all coated to match, resulting in an immaculately finished awning. The awning ‘skin’ or acrylic fabric is available in over 300 colours from world-leading fabric manufacturers.
You can retract the Solitar folding arm awning using a crank handle and feel the power of the arms. Many purchasers leave it to a motor to effortlessly haul it in at the press of a button. Adding a motor to your awning will ensure that you use your Solitar awning much more than with a crank handle – it’s human nature. In addition to ease of use, you can widen the use-case for your awning with wind, sun and even rain sensors. Add daily or weekly timers, additional (even wall-mounted) remotes for controlling from multiple locations or take it to the next level with WiFi control. This will allow you to send voice commands via Google Home Assistant® or Amazon Alexa® (sold separately). WiFi/3G/4G options are available across the entire range of motors and brands used by Covered – so no matter what you want – we’ve got it covered.
