Product Description

Comfort Semi-Cassette Folding Arm Awning

The Comfort Folding Arm Awning sits between the full-cassette Solitar and the simple-yet-elegant open-style Solina Pro folding arm awning. Like its other siblings, the ‘Comfort’ has been sold in Australia for over 15 years and has earned respect within the shade industry as a fantastically reliable and heavy-duty awning.

What is Semi-Cassette?

The Comfort is a semi-cassette Folding arm awning. This means a semi-cassette awning offers partial or near-complete protection of the entire awning, frame and material from the elements when retracted but is sold at a lower price point.

Open-style awnings offer little-to-no protection to the fabric while a full cassette will provide complete protection to the fabric.

This semi-cassette “middle ground” is covered by the ‘Comfort’ awning. It provides a protective hood and fabric cover to protect the fabric from the elements. This means it allows the underside and back of the material to remain partially exposed. Therefore, in most situations, it will not affect the look, feel or longevity of the awning.

When installed on a roof or exposed space, the visible rear section can be covered with the addition of a custom rear cover. Adding a rear cover will increase the protection offered to the fabric when not in use and will lengthen the life expectancy of your awning.

Desirable for many reasons.

Not just for its universal good looks and strength. It is an excellent mid-way position between the Solina Pro and Solitar. The Comfort Folding Arm Awning works well for demanding seasonal usage. As a result, it will tirelessly provide shade and shelter for commercial applications when critically required as a work-horse to retain seating and keep patrons happy.

Operator…

Using a manual crank-handle to extend or retract your awning will work, but will affect two main parts of your Comfort folding arm awning.

  1. It will take you time to open and close it – every time. (about 30 seconds)
  2. You will use it less.

Using a remote control with an optional wind sensor will affect two other points of having an awning.

  1. You definitely will use it much more (with just the press of a button)
  2. In this case, the wind sensor will reduce your stress levels in the case you leave it extended during *unforeseen winds.

*do not leave any awning extended and unattended.
